The "Actibot" Project

This uni project was proposed when a brief stated that I had to create and design a new toy for the current market. With robots in mind and a little inspiration from AIBO toys and the "iRobot" movie, I had an idea for an interactive robot.



The idea was to have a robot toy mimic a child's movements through a small camera located on the toy. It would also recognize hand gestures and voice commands.


An additional feature would be to insert your memory cards and usb connections to upload your mp3 music files to the toy. With this the user could play the music through its built in speakers.
